Manure business and knowledge at POLEKO
Extensive knowledge sharing about manure and biogas at the environmental POLEKO fair in Poznan, Poland, November 23rd 2011

About 40 participants were gathered at the environmental fair POLEKO in Poznan, for an intensive day with focus on manure management and biogas in Poland as part of the project Baltic Manure. The knowledge sharing was a combination of a seminar and a B2B event for the participating companies. Several suppliers and sub suppliers for biogas plants were exhibiting at POLEKO and this stresses the great interest from domestic and foreign companies in this business area in Poland.
Current biogas situation in Poland The speakers were Jakub Skorupski from Green Federation Gaja, a Baltic Manure project partner, Andrzej Myczko from Institute of Technology and Life Sciences in Poznan, Magdalena Szymanska from Warsaw University of Life Sciences and Anna Oniszk-Poplawska from the Institute of Renewable Energy in Warsaw. The focus of the presentations were the present situation and opportunities for Polish farmers on manure handling and manure based biogas and the current and future framework conditions and economic incentives in relation to the promotion of manure based biogas in Poland.
