Knowledge forum

The Knowledge Forum is the place to find knowledge about manure and the manure processing chain in the Baltic Sea Region. The project has the aim to turn manure from a waste problem into business opportunities. This should be achieved based on knowledge.

 
The four technical work packages (WP 3-4-5-6) of Baltic Manure will present their results here, but in addition we will publish all other manure relevant knowledge here.

This implies that we would like to present knowledge on:

• innovative technologies for animal feeding and housing, and the processing, storage and spreading of manure
• standardisation of manure types and their value as a fertiliser before and after processing
• assessments of the environmental consequences of different manure management technology chains and contribute to a common platform for life cycle assessment (LCA) of manure management
• the energy potentials of different manure types with main focus on biogas technology

The knowledge forum is communication and exchange between specialists, but with a summary for non-specialists.
