Baltic Manure Handling Award 2012
Once again Baltic Manure is launching the symbolic Baltic Manure Handling Award! So if you and your company have developed a technology, which could increase the use of manure in a sustainable way, you should apply!
The purpose of the Baltic Manure project is to change the mindset from considering manure as a waste product to seeing it as a resource. Therefore, we are once again launching the Baltic Manure Handling Award. The purpose of the award is to recognize the companies and technology developers working in this business area and to promote promising new technologies and to broaden the knowledge of already existing technologies in the manure management area.
The technology should represent innovation in the value chain from animal to fertilizer or from animal to energy output. Detailed criteria are described in the application form below.
The incoming applications will be evaluated by the following work package leaders in the Baltic Manure project:
- Lena Rohde, Swedish Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering
- Dr. Silvia Hahneklaus, the Julius Kühn Institute, Federal Research Centre for Cultivated Plants
- Prof. Henrik Wenzel, University of Southern Denmark, Institute of Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Environmental Technology
- Sari Luostarinen, MTT Agrifood Research Finland
Evaluation of the business potential will be carried out by Mr. Markku Järvenpää, MTT Agrifood Research Finland and coordinator of the Baltic Manure project and Mr. Lars Visbech Soerensen, CEO of Agro Business Park.
